Jon and Ann Ee’s warmth and benevolence are visible from the very first time we sat with them for the wedding planning process. It’s very much their own nature and ‘habitual’ for these two to come out with questions such as ; “Have you eaten?”, “Are you alright?” to everyone around them. In the excitement to get down and start discussing about their Big Day, they did not forget to check on us and gave their full presence each time we sat for another session of discussion.
As wedding planners, we’ve had the privilege of orchestrating countless weddings, but every so often, a couple comes along who leaves an indelible mark on our hearts. Jon and Ann Ee are such a couple. Their wedding wasn’t just another beautifully decorated event; it was a heartfelt celebration of love, care, and community that left us feeling incredibly special and appreciated.
They do not only show their care through words, but also through heartfelt, warm gestures. At the welcome dinner, we were invited to sit down for a proper meal. It wasn’t just a quick bite, it was a moment of genuine connection and gratitude. Their thoughtfulness made us feel not just like another service providers but a part of their cherished guests. One of the most heartwarming moments came when we discovered that Ann Ee had packed door gifts not only for the guests but for each and every vendor as well. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, every person acknowledged.
“You must try our cocktails—they are the best!” Ann Ee would enthusiastically recommend with her infectious excitement. These two wanted everyone to enjoy the day as much as they did, ensuring there were enough air coolers so everyone would be comfortable. They would often check in if everything is okay on our end, and their concern was genuine, their kindness palpable.
In the whirlwind of wedding preparations, it’s easy to get caught up in the logistics and the aesthetics of everything, but Jon and Ann Ee reminded us of the real essence of the whole plan. Their wedding was a gentle reminder that weddings are always about the people. It’s not about the grandeur or the expense; it’s about the love that brings everyone together. They honoured their guests, ourselves and other vendors, and even their beloved dog who was miles away but featured in their invitation cards.
Their love for all things vintage and cultural added a unique charm to the celebration. They allowed every décor elements involved to reflect their personalities and their journey together. The atmosphere was one of warmth and nostalgia, a beautiful blend of the old and the new. Guests were enveloped in a sense of belonging and connection, as the past and present seamlessly intertwined, creating a celebration that was profoundly moving and unforgettable.
Throughout the planning process, Jon and Ann Ee’s friends and family became ours. We laughed together, planned together, and ultimately celebrated together. It was a culmination of all things good under one roof, creating the Best Day Ever for everyone present. Their wedding was a reaffirmation of why we do what we do every day.
